Founded by Dr Des Fernandes

Environ was developed by Dr Des Fernandes, a plastic surgeon and skincare pioneer who began developing vitamin A-based cosmetic formulations during the 1980s. Environ has since grown into an internationally available professional skincare brand.

Environ is particularly known for its vitamin A-focused skincare philosophy and Vitamin STEP-UP SYSTEM®. Its routines combine vitamin A with ingredients such as antioxidants, peptides and other skin-supporting nutrients.
The Vitamin STEP-UP SYSTEM® introduces increasing levels of vitamin A and other ingredients gradually. You begin at an appropriate lower level and progress once your skin has become comfortable with that stage.
Skin EssentiA® and Youth EssentiA® form Environ's Essential Care offering and are designed to provide the foundation of an Environ skincare routine. Focused Care products can then be added where more targeted support is required.

Both are complete Environ skincare programmes. Environ describes Youth EssentiA® as containing higher levels of vitamins A and C, a broader antioxidant combination, additional peptides and more advanced moisturising systems than the AVST-focused Skin EssentiA® range.
Environ formulates its products to work together as a complete skincare system. When introducing active Environ products, particularly vitamin A, building your routine carefully and following the correct progression is recommended.
The Environ range includes options for concerns such as visible ageing, blemish-prone skin, pigmentation, dehydration, sensitivity and visible sun damage.
